How to Search and Manage Telegram GIFs: High-Speed Inline Search, Trending Panels & Zero-Tracking Media Privacy
The GIF panel beside the stickers has a search box, and it searches the whole catalogue rather than only what you have saved. Anything you send once can be kept, and the saved ones sit at the front for next time.
It is a small corner of the app that everybody uses and almost nobody tidies.
What you will be able to do
- check_circle Search for a GIF rather than scrolling for one.
- check_circle Save the ones you use and remove the ones you do not.
- check_circle Send one from anywhere without opening the panel.
- check_circle Keep them from making a chat unreadable.
The saved ones come first, and the search reaches everything else.
gif Saved, searched, and sent inline
The panel opens on what you have saved and what is popular. Typing in it searches much further, which is the difference between finding the specific thing you had in mind and settling for something nearby.
Holding a GIF in a chat offers to save it, and saved ones are then at the front of your panel permanently. That is the whole filing system, and it is enough — the ones you reach for are always the same dozen.
There is also the inline route: typing a particular bot's username followed by a search term in any message box returns GIFs you can send without opening the panel at all. Nothing is added to the chat except what you choose.
Four small habits
Three save time and one saves everybody else's patience.
search Type, do not scroll
bookmark A dozen is plenty
videocam From your own video
group Where they belong
Search rather than scroll, keep a dozen, and remember they move on everybody's screen, not only yours.
settings Using the panel
- Open the GIF tab beside the stickers Saved ones are first.
- Type two words describing the feeling Rather than scrolling the popular list.
- Hold one in a chat to save it It joins the front of your panel.
- Remove the single-joke ones Twice a year.
- Mute a short video to make your own Two or three seconds.
- Use a reaction instead in a working group It says the same thing quietly.
This page is one panel. The curriculum step is the machinery behind it: inline bots called from any message box, what an inline query is, and why those results never join the chat until you pick one.
