Telegram Infinite Reactions Guide: Expandable Emoji Carousel, Stacking Slots & Multi-Tap Reactions
Open the reaction panel fully and the whole emoji set is there. In a channel, that turns the line of counters under each post into the only feedback a publisher gets without asking for any.
Reading those counters properly is a genuine skill, and most channel owners read them wrong.
What you will be able to do
- check_circle Open the full reaction panel and search it.
- check_circle Choose which reactions a channel offers.
- check_circle Read what the counts do and do not tell you.
- check_circle Get better feedback than a count.
The panel expands to the whole set, with a search box, rather than the handful shown first.
analytics A counter is not an opinion
A reaction count tells you how many people tapped something. It does not tell you why, and it does not distinguish between somebody who read the post carefully and somebody who tapped as they scrolled past.
It is also strongly shaped by what you offered. A channel permitting only a thumb gets thumbs; a channel permitting everything gets a scattering that means nothing in particular. The distribution you see is partly a report on your own settings.
What the counts are genuinely good for is comparison. One post with three times the usual reaction is a signal worth investigating, regardless of which reactions they were. The absolute number tells you very little; the relative number tells you something real.
Four ways to read a channel's reactions
Three are useful and one is the mistake everybody makes first.

warning The trap
Reactions are cheap feedback, and cheap feedback is worth exactly what it costs to give.
settings Setting it up
- Hold a message and expand the panel The full set has a search box.
- In your channel, open the reactions setting It lists what readers may use.
- Permit three or four that mean different things Including one that is not approval.
- Compare posts against your own baseline Not against a number you had in mind.
- Use a poll when you need a reason Reactions cannot give one.
- Attach a discussion group If you want readers to be able to explain.
This page is one row of counters. The curriculum step is the rest of the picture: views against subscribers, where readers come from, retention over time, and which numbers are worth acting on.
