How to Add Links to Text in Telegram: Inline Hyperlinks, Anti-Phishing Domain Shields & Instant Navigation
Select some text, choose the link option, paste an address, and the words become the link. No raw URL in the message, no line of characters nobody can read.
It makes a message tidier and it introduces the oldest trick on the internet, because from then on the words and the destination are two different things.

The link option is on the same menu as bold and italic, and it takes any address you paste.

Once a link is behind text, what the reader sees and where they go are unrelated. A message can say one thing and lead somewhere else entirely, and nothing about how it is displayed reveals that.
So the habit worth having is checking: hold a link rather than tapping it and the real address is shown. For anything asking you to sign in, pay, or confirm something, that check is the whole of your defence.
Writing them, the rule is the mirror image. The link text should describe the destination honestly, and a message written to obscure where it goes will be read that way whatever you intended.
