How to Add the Weather Widget to Telegram Stories: Dynamic Animations, Temperature Units & Moon Phases
A story can carry a weather sticker: the temperature where you are, with an animated symbol for the conditions and, at night, the actual phase of the moon.
It is the lightest thing in the composer and the one people add without noticing it is a statement about where they are.
What you will be able to do
- check_circle Add live weather to a story.
- check_circle Style it so it belongs on the picture.
- check_circle Use it where it adds something.
- check_circle Know what it tells a viewer about you.
The sticker takes the current conditions and can be restyled like any other.

Most story stickers say something you typed. This one reports a fact gathered at the moment of posting, which is what makes it feel different: it is evidence rather than decoration, and evidence is more interesting and slightly more revealing.
Where it works is when the weather is part of the point. A picture of rain with the temperature beside it is a complete little message; the same sticker on an indoor photograph is a number sitting on a wall for no reason.
The moon phase is the nicest detail in it, because it is genuinely specific. A photograph of a night sky with the real phase attached is a better record of an evening than any caption, and it costs nothing.
What it also does is narrow you down. A temperature is a region and a season; combined with a place name, a time of day or a landmark in the frame, it is considerably more specific than any of those alone. That is not a reason to avoid it — it is a reason to think of it as information rather than as a graphic.
Four uses
The last is the one worth a second's thought.
umbrella Extremes and evenings
palette Making it belong
storefront When it sells something
shield A fact about where you are
Use it when the weather is part of the message. It reports a fact, so treat it as one.
settings Adding it

This page adds one live sticker. The curriculum step is the composer around it: text, drawing, layers and the restraint that keeps a picture a picture rather than a noticeboard.
