How to View Voice Chat Profiles & Bios in Telegram: Participant Roster & Active Speaker Navigation Guide
In a live voice chat every name in the participant list is a profile you can open without leaving the room. The audio keeps playing while you read somebody's bio, and there is a volume slider for that one speaker on the same card.
The volume control is the part almost nobody finds, and it is the one that makes a badly balanced room listenable.
What you will be able to do

Most audio rooms give you a name and a coloured circle. Telegram gives you the actual Telegram profile: the bio, the username, the picture at full size, and a way to message that person privately while still listening.
That changes what a voice chat is good for. Somebody says something worth following up on and you can find out who they are and open a conversation in the same ten seconds, rather than trying to remember a name until the session ends.
It also means your own bio is on display to everybody in the room. Two hundred strangers can read it, and most hosts never think to mention that before a panel starts.

Two taps get you a better mix and a name worth keeping. Both are in the same list most people never open.
settings Using the list
- Open the participant list inside the voice chat It is the main view of the room.
- Tap anybody's name or picture Their card opens over the room; the audio continues.
- Use the volume slider on their card To raise a quiet speaker or lower a loud one, for you only.
- Message from the card If a speaker is worth following up with.
- Check your own bio before you speak Tap yourself in the list; it is what the room reads.
- Edit it mid-session if you need to The change appears immediately.
