Every button goes to Telegram
All download buttons on this page link to Telegram's own addresses — telegram.org, desktop.telegram.org, macos.telegram.org, Google Play and the App Store. TGWAY does not host, repackage or modify any installer.
On Windows you can confirm a file is genuine before running it: right-click the installer, open Properties, then Digital Signatures. The signer should be Telegram FZ-LLC. The installer's own setup screens show the same publisher.
After you install
- Sign in — on your phone open Settings › Devices, tap the button to link a desktop device, and scan the QR code on the computer screen.
- Turn on two-step verification — a password on top of the login code (two-step verification).
- Updates are automatic — the desktop app updates itself by default.
Common mistakes
| Symptom | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| A file from a search ad behaves strangely | It came from an unofficial site | Delete it and download again from a button on this page or desktop.telegram.org. |
| You can't find the downloaded file | Its name starts with td-setup and is easy to miss | Press Ctrl + J in your browser to open the downloads list. |
| The installer won't open on 32-bit Windows | You downloaded the 64-bit file | Download the 32-bit installer from the Windows tab. |

Does it work on 32-bit Windows?
Yes. Use the 32-bit installer or the 32-bit portable version from the Windows tab.
