How to Create Custom Sticker Sets in Telegram: Pack Organization, Cloud Publishing & Sharing Links
Making a whole pack is a different job from making one sticker. It needs a name, a short address anybody can share, and a decision about what the set is for before you draw or photograph anything.
Most packs fail on that last point rather than on the pictures.
What you will be able to do
- check_circle Create a pack and give it a name and a link.
- check_circle Decide what belongs in it before making anything.
- check_circle Order it so people find the one they want.
- check_circle Change it after publishing.
A new set is created from the editor, named, and given an address of its own.
collections_bookmark A set needs a subject
The packs people keep installed all answer one question: what does this group say to each other. A set built around a shared situation — a team, a game, a running joke, a business and its products — gets used. A set of twenty unrelated good pictures does not, because nobody can predict what is in it.
So decide the subject first, then list the things people actually say inside it, and make one sticker per thing. That list is nearly always shorter than expected: eight or ten covers most situations a group has.
The name and the address matter more than they look. The name is what people see in the panel while scrolling past dozens of packs; the address is how they add it. Both should say what the set is, not be clever.
One thing to settle at the start: a set holds one kind of sticker. Still images, animated ones and short videos each want their own pack, so a mixed idea becomes two or three sets rather than one. Decide which kind the subject deserves before making anything, because converting afterwards means remaking the lot.
Still images are the right default for almost everybody. They are the least work, they read instantly, and they are what most people send. Animation is worth it only when the movement is the joke — a reaction that lands over half a second, something that arrives and then does something. Movement added to a picture that was already fine mostly gets in the way.
Four decisions
Only the second one is about pictures.
checklist One subject, listed out
brush Make them look related
label How people find it
reorder The first row does the work
Decide the subject, list what people say, make ten, and publish. The pack improves after it exists.
settings Creating one
- Write the list first Ten things your group actually says.
- Decide still or animated A set holds one kind, so this decides the whole pack.
- Make them in one session Same treatment, same outline.
- Create the set and name it after the subject Not cleverly.
- Give it a short address People will type it.
- Attach an emoji to each That is how they get suggested.
- Publish at ten and reorder later By what gets sent.
This page creates a set. The curriculum step is the design work behind it: what reads at small sizes, building a set that covers a community's real situations, and the asset requirements for a pack that looks professional.
