A group or channel can be set to restrict saving content. Forwarding is disabled, downloads are blocked, copying text stops working, and on some platforms the screen itself refuses to be captured.
It is a real protection with a precise scope, and understanding that scope is the difference between using it sensibly and believing something about your material that is not true.
What you will be able to do

lock What the switch actually does
Inside Telegram it is thorough. Members cannot forward a message out, cannot save a photo or file to their device, cannot copy the text, and cannot take the content somewhere you did not put it. For a paid course, a members-only briefing or a document meant for one room, that removes the casual route by which things escape.
Outside Telegram it can do very little. A second phone photographing a screen is beyond the reach of any software, and screenshot blocking depends on the platform — some systems allow an app to prevent it, others do not. Treat the screenshot as possible and you will never be surprised.
There is also a cost to your members, and it is larger than people expect. They cannot save the thing they paid for, cannot quote it to ask a question about it, and cannot keep a copy of information they will need offline.

Use it to make copying inconvenient and abnormal. Never to make it impossible, because it is not.

- Say so in the description Members should not discover it by failing to save something.
- Expect the screenshot anyway Whatever the platform does about it.

- Reduce the audience for anything truly sensitive That is the protection that works.
