How to Customize Telegram 'My Profile': Public Preview Mode, Pinned Stories, Channel Links & Privacy Controls
There is a screen that shows your profile as other people see it — as a stranger, as a contact, as somebody you have restricted — without borrowing a second phone.
Almost everybody who opens it finds something they did not know was public.
What you will be able to do

The preview switches between audiences so you can see each version of your own page.
visibility Look at yourself as a stranger
Privacy settings are a list of switches and nobody can hold the result of all of them in their head. You set your photograph to contacts two years ago, added a bio, joined some groups, and what any of that adds up to for a person who has just got your number is genuinely unclear.
The preview answers it directly. Switch to the stranger's view and you see the page as they get it: which picture, which stories, whether your last seen shows, what the bio says out of context. It takes a minute and it is the single most useful minute in the settings.
Do it after any change to privacy, and do it once now regardless. The common discoveries are an old photograph still public, a bio written for a different situation, and stories visible to people you assumed were excluded.
The restricted view is worth a look as well, because it answers a question people otherwise guess at for years: what somebody you blocked or limited actually sees. Usually rather more than expected, and knowing which parts survive a restriction is the difference between a privacy setting you trust and one you hope about.

Open the stranger's view once a year and after every privacy change. Everything else on the page follows from it.

- Fix whatever surprised you Usually a photograph or a bio.
- Pin the stories that do you credit Checking their audience in the preview.
- Add a channel only if it is active With a join button under the bio.
- Set the birthday to contacts Or leave it off.
