The gifts on a profile are listed newest first, which means a hundred ordinary ones can bury the three that mattered. You can pin up to six to the front and put them in whatever order you like.
Six slots is not many, and that is the useful part: it forces the question of what the collection is supposed to say.
What you will be able to do
- check_circle Pin gifts to the front of your profile and reorder them.
- check_circle Choose what the first six say about you.
- check_circle Know where else they appear.
- check_circle Decide whether to pin anything at all.
Pinning is on each gift's own menu, and the order afterwards is dragged.
push_pin A list becomes a display
Unpinned, the gifts section is a record: everything you were given, most recent first, in the order it happened. That is honest and it is not a presentation — the thing at the top is whatever arrived last, which may be the least interesting item you own.
Pinning turns it into something chosen. The six at the front are there because you put them there, and anybody looking understands that, which is precisely what makes them worth thinking about. A curated shelf says something a list cannot, in both directions.
They also reach further than the gifts section. Pinned items appear across the top of your profile, so they are part of what somebody meets before they have scrolled to anything — closer to a header than to a collection.
Three things a showcase can be for
Pick one. A shelf trying to do all three says nothing clearly.

Decide what the six are for before deciding which six. Most profiles are better with none.
visibility Who is reading it
The audience for a profile is rarely who people imagine. It is opened by someone deciding whether to reply to you, by a stranger who found a message of yours in a group, and occasionally by somebody working out whether you are worth approaching about the things on display.
None of that is an argument against pinning. It is an argument for choosing the six with that audience in mind rather than with your collection in mind, because the row is doing its work on people who did not come to look at gifts.
The practical version is to look at your own profile after setting it, from the top, the way somebody arriving would. If the first thing the page says is something you did not mean to say, the fix is one long press away.
settings Setting it up
- Open the gifts tab on your profile Each item has its own menu.
- Pin the ones that belong at the front Up to six.
- Drag them into order The first slot carries the weight.
- Pick one purpose Rarity or people, not both.
- Look at your profile from the top As a stranger would.
- Consider pinning nothing It is the right answer more often than not.
This page arranges six items at the top of a profile. The curriculum step is the rest of that page: which parts are visible to whom, what a first-time visitor meets in order, and how the pieces add up to an impression.
