How to Start Group Video Chats in Telegram: 30-Speaker Live Broadcasts, Screen Sharing & Massive Community Calls Guide
A group voice chat becomes a video call the moment somebody turns a camera on. Up to thirty people can show video or share a screen at once, and everybody else can still listen.
There is no meeting to schedule, no link to send and no time limit. The room is simply a property of the group, waiting in its header for anybody to join.

The camera and screen buttons are in the same bar as the microphone. Video is an option inside a voice chat, not a separate feature.

Because the call belongs to the group, joining is not an invitation with a link and a passcode. Anybody in the group taps the bar at the top and is in, and people drift in and out during it without ceremony. That suits a standing team call far better than scheduling one every week.
Video and screen sharing are per-person choices. Thirty can broadcast; the rest listen. Nobody is required to turn a camera on, and in practice most rooms work best when only the person presenting has one.
There is no duration limit, which quietly removes the thing that shapes meetings on most free plans: nobody is watching a clock or restarting the call after forty minutes.

- Open the group profile and start a voice chat As an admin, or join the bar at the top if one is running.
- Turn the camera on from the bar Front, back, or off again at any time.
- Or share a screen Choosing a single window where your client offers the choice.
- Tap somebody to pin them So everybody is looking at the presenter rather than a grid.
- Mute yourself when not speaking The single biggest improvement to any call with more than four people in it.
- Leave the room running if others are still in it Leaving and ending are different actions.
