The QR screen for a profile, group or channel is also a small design tool. There are colour styles, a pattern, and a save button — what comes out is an image you own and can put anywhere.

This page is about that image: making one that suits where it is going, and making sure it still works when the styling is against it.

What you will be able to do

  • check_circle Produce a styled QR image for a profile or a channel.
  • check_circle Choose a style that still scans in the real world.
  • check_circle Put it somewhere useful rather than only in a chat.
  • check_circle Give people a way in when the code fails.

The styles change the colours and the surround; the code inside them stays the same address.

qr_code_2 An image you can take away

The QR screen produces a picture with the code, your name or handle, and whatever colour treatment you chose. Save it once and it is a file: a slide, a footer, a printed card, a profile picture on another platform.

That is the point worth taking from this. Most people generate the code, show it across a table, and never save it. Saved, it is the thing you paste into the corner of a presentation or the back of a card, where it does the work while you are not there.

The styling is genuinely just styling. It changes nothing about what the code contains, so a code that fails is failing for a physical reason — too small, too low in contrast, badly lit — not because of the theme you picked.

Test the actual output, at the actual size A gradient that looks striking on a screen can fail on paper at eight centimetres in a dim room. Print one, scan it from where a person would stand, and only then order five hundred.

Four places to put it

Each wants a different size and a different amount of colour.

check_circle Save the image to your photos so you can show it without navigating the app. Screen brightness up, and hold it still.
check_circle Any style works here: a screen is bright, close and high contrast by nature.
check_circle It is also the fastest way to give somebody your handle without saying a phone number aloud.

Save the image, size it generously, and always put the address beside it in words.

settings Making one

  1. Open the profile, group or channel Your own is in the profile settings.
  2. Tap the QR icon beside the handle Which address you start from is what gets encoded.
  3. Choose a style Bold and high-contrast for anything leaving a screen.
  4. Save the image Not just share it; you want the file.
  5. Place it large, with clear space Wherever it is going.
  6. Write the address beside it Every time.

This page is the image. The curriculum step is what it points at: claiming a handle, what it commits you to, the difference between a permanent address and a revocable invite, and what happens to every printed reference when a name changes.
