Precision Drawing in Telegram Media Editor: Adaptive Zoom Scaling, Custom Palette Eyedropper & Vector Annotation
The drawing tools in Telegram's media editor are better than they need to be. There are several brushes with genuinely different behaviour, an eyedropper that takes colour out of the photo, and a blur tool for covering things up.
The useful skill is not drawing. It is annotating — marking one thing in a screenshot so that the person receiving it looks at the right place.

Zooming in makes the stroke finer rather than fatter, which is what allows a small mark on a small screen.

The pen draws a clean line and is what you want for arrows and circles. The marker is translucent, so it highlights a region without hiding what is under it. The neon brush glows, which makes a mark visible over a busy or dark image where an ordinary line disappears. The blur brush is not a colour at all — it smears the picture underneath.
The eyedropper takes a colour from the photo itself. Its real use is the opposite of blending in: pick the colour that is least present in the picture and your mark cannot be missed.
And the zoom behaves correctly. Zoom in and the brush gets finer relative to the image rather than staying the same thickness on screen, so detail is actually reachable with a finger.
