How to Add Bots as Admins in Telegram Groups & Channels: Automated Moderation, Granular Permissions & Bot Rights
A bot can be an administrator of your group or channel, with the same list of individual rights any human admin has. That is how automatic moderation, welcome messages and scheduled posting work.
It is also the largest grant you will make in Telegram, because an admin bot sees everything in the chat and acts without anybody watching. The rights you tick are the whole of the control you have.
What you will be able to do

An ordinary bot in a group receives only what is addressed to it: its commands, replies to it, mentions. Promote it and that limit disappears — an administrator bot sees the conversation. This is necessary for anything that filters spam, and it is a genuine decision rather than a formality.
The rights are granular, and they should be. A bot that deletes spam needs to delete messages and probably to ban users. It does not need to change the group's name, pin posts, add new admins or invite people. Every switch you leave off is a thing a compromised or badly-written bot cannot do.
Remember also that the bot is somebody's server. Trusting it in your group is trusting them, and if their token ever leaks, whoever holds it inherits the rights you granted.

Grant the two rights it needs, never the one that lets it promote others, and read the log occasionally.
