How to Add Video Messages to Telegram Stories: Circular Reaction Overlays, Timeline Positioning & Dual-Audio Balance
A round video message can be recorded on top of a story. Your face appears in a small circle over the footage, and you can move it, resize it, and decide at which second it starts.
It is commentary added as a layer, which means it can also go on top of somebody else's story when you repost it.
What you will be able to do
- check_circle Record a round video onto a story you are posting.
- check_circle Place it so it covers nothing important.
- check_circle Time it to start at the right moment.
- check_circle Add your reaction to a reposted story.
The circle is recorded inside the story editor and dragged along the timeline to set when it appears.
layers Commentary is a layer, not a take
Recording a reaction as part of the original shot means committing to it. Recording it as a layer means the footage exists first and you decide afterwards what to say about it, where to stand on the screen and when to appear.
The timing is the part worth using. A face that is present for the whole clip becomes wallpaper; one that arrives at the moment something happens is the reason anybody keeps watching. Drag the layer to start a second before the thing you are reacting to and stop shortly after.
The same mechanism works on a story you are resharing. Somebody else's footage with your circle over it is a different post from a plain repost — it says why you passed it on, which a bare forward never does.

Timing and placement decide almost everything.

Appear at the moment, not throughout. Text carries facts; a face carries a reaction.
settings Recording one
- Compose or reshare the story first The layer goes on top of finished footage.
- Record the round video in the editor Somewhere quiet enough to be heard.
- Drag it to an empty corner And size it down unless you are the subject.
- Set where it starts on the timeline A second before the moment.
- Keep it short A few seconds is the whole of it.
- Put any facts in text as well Most people are watching in silence.
This page adds one moving layer. The curriculum step is everything else that can go on top: text, drawing, stickers, and scrubbing to the exact frame where a layer should begin.
