Premium can be given to several people in one go. You pick the contacts, choose a length, pay once, and each of them receives their own subscription in their own chat.
It exists because of a specific situation: a group of people who did work for you and are not going to be paid for it.
What you will be able to do

Most communities run on unpaid work. Somebody removes the spam, somebody answers the same question forty times, somebody keeps the archive tidy. They are rarely thanked in any form that costs the person thanking them anything.
A subscription is small, concrete and arrives with your name on it. It is not a salary and should not be presented as one, but it is the difference between being appreciated in words and being appreciated in something. Doing several at once means nobody is singled out and nobody is left out, which matters more than the individual gifts.
It is also entirely separate from a giveaway. A giveaway is a lottery aimed at strangers; this is a decision about named people who did something. Confusing the two produces the worst version of both — a raffle among your own volunteers.
