How to Use Telegram Premium Reactions: Custom Emoji Stacking, Global Counter Multipliers & Infinite Reaction Combinations
With Premium, any custom emoji can be used as a reaction, and more than one reaction can be put on the same message. A community's own symbols become the way it responds, not only the way it writes.
Whether that works depends on the chat rather than on you: every group and channel decides which reactions it permits, and that list always wins.
What you will be able to do
- check_circle React with a custom emoji instead of the standard set.
- check_circle Put several reactions on one message.
- check_circle Set what a group or channel you run allows.
- check_circle Know why a reaction you wanted is not offered.
Holding a message opens the full panel, including the custom sets available in that chat.
add_reaction The chat decides, then you do
Every group and channel has a list of permitted reactions. It can be everything, a chosen handful, or nothing. An admin who has narrowed it to four has decided what responses this room recognises, and no subscription overrides that.
Where the chat allows it, Premium widens your side: custom emoji become available as reactions, and several can be placed on one message. That second one is more useful than it sounds — agreeing and finding something funny are two facts, and a single reaction can only carry one of them.
For a community with its own emoji set, this closes a circle. The symbol used in messages can also be the response, so the vocabulary is the same in both directions.
Four things that decide what you see

The chat sets the vocabulary; Premium widens your half of it. Keep a group's list short anyway.
settings Using them
- Hold a message for the full reaction panel Rather than double-tapping.
- Look for the custom sets They appear alongside the standard ones where allowed.
- Add a second reaction if it says something different Two at most.
- Tap the counter to see who reacted It works the same for custom ones.
- In your own group, narrow the allowed list Four is usually right.
- Remember free accounts cannot reply in kind In a mixed group.
This page is reacting with a community's own set. The curriculum step is how a community gets one: boosts and the levels they unlock, choosing a channel's reaction pack, and what a shared visual language does for a group's identity.
