The short answer
- 1An unfair takedown of your bot, channel or sticker set goes to abuse@telegram.org.
- 2Copyright complaints go to dmca@telegram.org, from the owner only.
- 3Account limits and frozen accounts have their own in-app routes.

Pick the right address
Telegram has a few separate routes for problems with public content, and writing to the wrong one only adds delay. Match your situation:
| Situation | Where to go |
|---|---|
| Your bot, public channel or sticker set was taken down and you think it was unfair | abuse@telegram.org, as Telegram's FAQ advises |
| Someone else's channel, bot or sticker set uses your copyrighted work | dmca@telegram.org, only for the copyright owner or an authorised agent |
| Your account cannot message people it has not talked to before | @SpamBot; see account limited |
| Your account is frozen and read-only | The appeal button in the app; see a frozen account |
| Someone is pretending to be you | @NoToScam, as Telegram's FAQ advises |
What to put in the email
A short, factual message is the one most likely to be read. Include:
- The link to what was taken down: the t.me link or the @username of the channel or bot, or the sticker set's link. Telegram's FAQ asks for links in takedown reports, and the same applies to appeals.
- What it is (channel, bot, sticker set) and roughly when it stopped working.
- Why you think it was a mistake, in a few sentences: what the channel is for, and whether the material is your own or licensed.
- Your contact on Telegram, the @username of the owner account.
Write once and wait. Replies can take a long time, or may not come. Sending the same email repeatedly does not speed it up.
What Telegram takes down, and what it does not
Telegram's FAQ explains that public content such as channels, bots and user-uploaded sticker sets is not part of the core Telegram interface. To keep distributing the apps through the App Store and Google Play, Telegram processes legitimate requests to take down illegal public content, for example sticker sets that violate intellectual property rights, or porn bots. It also blocks terrorist channels and bots.
The FAQ is equally clear about the limits: Telegram does not take part in politically motivated censorship of people who peacefully express alternative opinions, and it does not process requests about private chats and groups.
Nobody can restore it for you for a fee
If you are trying to understand why a channel you follow shows a restriction notice, see 'This channel can't be displayed'. Next step: is that 'your account is restricted' message real?
