Use the Report button, which is built into every Telegram app and takes a few taps. For bulk or formal requests there is also an automated takedown address, abuse@telegram.org.
Reporting from the app
| Platform | How |
|---|---|
| Android | Tap the message, then choose Report from the menu |
| iOS | Press and hold the message |
| Desktop, Web, macOS | Right-click the message and choose Report |
Then pick the reason that fits. The category matters: reports are routed by it, and a precise one reaches the right moderators faster than a general complaint.
Reporting by email
Write to abuse@telegram.org with the exact t.me links to the content, a description of what it is, and anything that establishes the problem. Links are the essential part; a report describing content without pointing at it cannot be acted on.
What can be acted on
Moderation covers Telegram's public platform: channels, public groups, bots and sticker sets. Private one-to-one chats and private groups are private between their participants, and requests about them are not processed. This is a deliberate boundary rather than a capacity limit.
