Yes. The most direct way is the Telegram Support Initiative, a volunteer programme that answers user questions in their own language. If you want to help people in your country, apply through the auditions account listed on the initiative's page.
What volunteer support involves
- Answering questions from users who write in for help.
- Working in a language you actually speak, which is the point of the programme.
- Following a short set of guidelines about what support volunteers can and cannot do.
Read the initiative's page before applying. It explains the expectations, and applications from people who have clearly read it are treated differently from ones that have not.
Other ways to contribute
- Translate. The localisation platform is open, and anyone can suggest or vote on translations for their language.
- Build something. Bots, Mini Apps and clients are built by independent developers, and the platform is documented publicly.
- Make sticker packs. Publishing a pack takes minutes through the official sticker bot.
- Report problems properly. A bug report with a reproduction, a version number and a platform is worth a great deal more than a complaint.
Beware of anyone claiming to recruit Telegram staff or volunteers in a direct message, particularly if money or account access is mentioned. Applications go through the official initiative, never through an unsolicited approach.
