Yes. Choose who sees it under Settings, Privacy and Security, Last Seen and Online. There is one condition attached, and it is deliberate.
The reciprocity rule
If you hide your last seen time from someone, you will not see theirs either. You cannot watch while staying invisible. This single rule is what stops the setting from becoming a one-way surveillance tool.
What people see instead
Rather than nothing at all, they see an approximate value. This keeps a stalker from tracking your exact pattern of activity while still letting an ordinary contact tell whether you are reachable.
| Shown | Roughly means |
|---|---|
| Last seen recently | Anywhere from a moment ago to a couple of days |
| Last seen within a week | A few days |
| Last seen within a month | Up to about a month |
| Last seen a long time ago | Longer than that, or hidden entirely |
The bands overlap on purpose. A precise boundary would let somebody reconstruct your exact times by watching which label is showing.
Setting it
- Open Settings, then Privacy and Security.
- Choose Last Seen and Online.
- Pick Everybody, My Contacts or Nobody.
- Add exceptions if you want a few people to see the real time regardless.
