When you record a live stream or a video chat you get a file, and the file is where most of the value of the session actually lives. The people who watched it live are almost always fewer than the people who will watch it afterwards.
So the decisions worth making are about the recording as a thing you are going to publish, and nearly all of them have to be made before you press record.

The recording asks for a title and whether to include video before it starts. Neither can be changed afterwards.
videocam Audio or video, decided in advance
An audio recording is small, easy to listen to on the move, and right for a conversation. A video recording captures the screen shares and the faces, and is right for anything where seeing something was the point — a demonstration, slides, a walkthrough.
Choose wrongly and there is no fixing it. You cannot extract video from an audio recording, and turning an hour of video into audio afterwards means doing it yourself outside Telegram.
The title matters more than it seems. It becomes the file's name, and in a year the difference between a useful archive and a pile of untitled recordings is entirely this field. Date it and say what it was.
