Telegram Stars Transaction History: Where Stars Went

Balance and history are on one screen

Every Star you buy, spend, receive or get back is recorded in a single list under your balance. You reach it from the same place you buy Stars:

Scroll below the balance and the buttons to reach the transaction list. The documentation describes it as your Stars transaction history, which can be filtered into incoming and outgoing transactions; the app shows those as separate tabs once there is something to list. A new account with a zero balance shows no list at all.

What each entry tells you

Refunds also appear in the list, as their own incoming entry. If a seller says they refunded you, this is where to confirm it.

Small purchases add up quietly

Stars are spent a few at a time: a reaction here, a paid post there, a mini app upgrade. Nothing about a single purchase feels large, which is exactly why the total surprises people. Once a month, open the outgoing tab and scroll through it. If one bot or channel appears again and again, decide whether that is what you meant to spend on. A subscription paid in Stars renews automatically until you cancel it, so a repeating entry from the same channel or bot is the first thing to check.

If you see a purchase you did not make

1. Tap the entry and note who it was with, the amount and the transaction ID.
2. Ask the seller. Open the chat with that bot and send /paysupport; bots that sell for Stars are expected to answer it. See refunds for Stars purchases for what the seller can and cannot do.
3. Check your devices. If you did not make the purchase and nobody else uses your phone, open Settings, Devices and end any session you do not recognise. Then turn on Two-Step Verification; see a security baseline in fifteen minutes.
