Collectible Telegram Gifts and What Fragment Adds
Usernames and numbers were the first things traded on Fragment. Gifts came later, and they change hands in a different way: a small animated present, sent in a chat, can become a one-of-a-kind item that is shown on a profile, sold to a stranger, or moved into a crypto wallet entirely outside Telegram.
A gift passes through three stages, and each one gives up something the stage before had. An ordinary gift is a gesture. An upgraded, collectible gift is an item with a market. A gift moved to a wallet is a record at an address you alone control. This step closes the first half of the Fragment track by marking those stages, so you know which one you are in and what the next one costs. Nothing here says what any gift is worth; nobody can promise that, and this is not financial advice.

Each step up is a choice, and the first one, upgrading, is the one people most often make on impulse. Read the table from left to right before you tap.

Step 001 listed Gifts as one of Fragment's six sections. It is the place collectible gifts are traded as items, and the route for moving a collectible out of Telegram into a TON wallet you control. You connect a wallet to Fragment, as Step 002 showed, and the gift becomes an item at that wallet's address.
You do not need Fragment to own, wear or give a collectible gift; all of that happens inside Telegram. Fragment matters only if you want to trade on it, or to take the gift off Telegram altogether.

A wallet is not safer by default. It is safer only when you keep the phrase as carefully as Wallet Step 007 asks.

As soon as gifts can be sold, the familiar patterns follow them. The common ones:
- "Verify your gift" requests. A buyer or "support" asks you to connect your wallet to a site to prove ownership. Anything at an address is already public; the request exists to get you to approve something.
- Offers far above the market, sent by message. A real buyer buys a listing; an unusually generous stranger is usually leading to a fake site or an upfront fee.
- Appraisal services that charge to tell you what a gift is worth, or claim a "rare trait" needs certifying.
- Copies of Fragment reached through links. Type fragment.com yourself.

An upgrade turns a gesture into a unique item with a random design. It is a one-way step, and the Stars you could have converted the gift into are usually no longer an option afterwards. Nobody can promise what the result will be worth.
Do you need Fragment to wear or give away a collectible gift?
Owning, wearing, displaying and transferring collectibles are all Telegram features. Fragment is a marketplace and a route out to a TON wallet.
A buyer asks you to connect your wallet to their site so they can "confirm the gift is real". What is happening?
Ownership of anything at an address is visible publicly without you doing anything. Connecting and signing is where the theft happens. Never connect a wallet or sign anything to prove you own something.

Why a gift in a wallet survives anything that happens to your account and also anything that happens to your recovery phrase, why transfers to an address are final, and why proving ownership never needs a signature.

Can I undo an upgrade?
No. An upgraded gift stays a collectible. That is why the moment to decide is before you upgrade, not after.
Will my collectible gift be worth something later?
Nobody can say, and this guide does not predict it. Prices on any market are what someone else will pay at a given moment, and they can fall to nothing. Treat a collectible as something you would keep even if it were worth nothing.
Is a gift in a wallet safer than one in Telegram?
It is safe from different things. In Telegram it is protected by your account's security and lost only if the account is. In a wallet it survives anything that happens to your account, but is lost if the recovery phrase is. Choose the risk you are better at managing.
