Large groups get their own statistics screen, and it measures something different from a channel's. A channel asks how many people saw a post; a group asks how many people said anything, and who.
The most useful thing on it is a ratio you can watch over months. The most dangerous thing on it is the leaderboard, because publishing it changes the group.
What you will be able to do

The screen appears for admins once a group is large enough, in the same menu as the rest of the management tools.
forum Members, and members who speak
The number that matters is not how many people are in the group. It is how many of them said something this week, and whether that figure is rising or falling.
Most members of any community read without posting, and that is normal rather than a problem. What tells you something is the trend: a group whose membership grows while its number of posters stays flat is getting quieter even as it gets bigger, and the growth is hiding it.
The breakdown by message type is the other genuinely useful panel. A group that is almost all stickers and reactions is a social space; one that is almost all text and files is a working space. Both are fine, and knowing which you have prevents a lot of pointless moderation.

Watch one number over time: how many people spoke this week, as a share of the group.

- Be an admin of a large enough group The screen appears once the membership passes Telegram's threshold; smaller groups do not have it.
- Open the group profile Tap the name at the top of the chat.
- Open the menu, then Statistics Alongside the other management options.
- Read the posters graph first Not the member count. Everything useful is downstream of that one.
- Come back monthly These numbers say nothing week to week and quite a lot over a quarter.
This page is reading the numbers. The curriculum step is acting on them: structuring a moderation team as a group grows, the controls to reach for when the ratio falls, and how large communities are kept coherent rather than merely large.
